Reserve your ride: New service gets you around and between Black Diamond and Enumclaw

Summary

Southeast King County residents have a new way to get around and between Black Diamond and Enumclaw for work, school, errands and appointments. The Black Diamond–Enumclaw Community Ride is a reservation-based service that will fully launch with a brand new vehicle on March 13 as part of King County Metro Transit’s spring service change.

Story

The Black Diamond-Enumclaw Community Ride replaces a portion of Route 907, which, starting on March 13, will no longer operate between Black Diamond and Enumclaw. For Route 907, the segment between Black Diamond and Enumclaw has had few riders, averaging just one person per trip. Shortening Route 907 has enabled Metro to re-invest hours to provide more frequent service on the segment of the 907 between Black Diamond and Renton where demand is higher.

Operated by Hopelink, the Black Diamond-Enumclaw Community Ride fills the gap for those who currently ride the 907 between Enumclaw and Black Diamond. Vans operate every Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and serve  areas in Enumclaw and Black Diamond that were previously covered by the 907.

Reservations are first-come, first-serve, and must be at least two hours in advance of your pickup time (or up to 30 days prior). Customers can make reservations online or by calling 866-261-3278 during the following hours:

  • Weekdays, 5 a.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
  • Sundays, 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

The Black Diamond-Enumclaw Community Ride is one of a number of transportation solutions being delivered as part of Metro’s Southeast King County Alternative Services project.
